How to play

Each puzzle is a short story. A few people each have exactly one thing from every group, and no two people share a thing. The clues tell you just enough to work out who has what. Every puzzle has exactly one answer.

The grid

Each small box compares two groups, for example riders and stops.
Put a ✕ where two things cannot go together. Put a ✓ where they must.
One ✓ per row and per column in each small box. When you place a ✓, cross out the rest of its row and column in that box. (The app does this for you when Auto ✕ is on.)
If a row has only one empty square left and everything else is ✕, that square is a ✓.
Carry facts between boxes. If Ari got off at Central, and Ari boarded at 7:20, then the Central rider boarded at 7:20.

What the clue words mean

“A is B”, “A did B”	The same person. A ✓.
“A did not do B”	Different people. A ✕.
“either B or C”	Exactly one of the two is true. Cross out everything else in that row.
“Neither A nor B …”	Both are ✕ for that thing.
“Of A and B, one … and the other …”	A and B are two different people, and the two facts belong to them in some order. Everyone else is ✕ for both facts.
“earlier / later than”, “more / less than”	Says the order, not by how much. The earlier one cannot be the very last time; the later one cannot be the very first.
“exactly 10 minutes after”	Gives the gap. Only pairs of times that far apart are possible.

When you are stuck

Go back to the clues you have not used yet. Each one matters; nothing is there to fill space.
Read an “earlier than” clue both ways: it rules out the first time for one person and the last time for the other.
Look for rows or columns with only two empty squares. A single clue often decides them.
On paper, write your final answer in the table beside the grid, then scan the QR code to check it.
